AAEC provides the following privacy statement in accordance with the guidelines for Federal and ACT Government World Wide Web Sites (http://www.privacy.gov.au/internet/index.html) issued by the Australian Privacy Commissioner. Personal information, i.e. any information from which an individual's identity is apparent and can be reasonably ascertained, is not registered or recorded when this site is viewed. Personal information can be disclosed via this website if the viewer provides such information. AAEC will record the viewer's e-mail address and personal details if it is submitted by the viewer for that specific purpose. The e-mail address and personal details will only be used for the intent for which the viewer has provided it and will not be disclosed to a third party. An e-mail request or notification from the viewer to AAEC's Web Administrator will activate the removal of their personal details from AAEC's web site database. The AAEC service provider makes a record of viewers' visits and logs. This information is used for statistical purposes alone. No attempt will be made to identify viewers or their browsing activities except, in the unlikely event of an investigation, where a law enforcement agency may exercise a warrant to inspect the service provider's logs.
